A message from Captain Christian regarding PSAs 405, 406 & 407

Within the last 4 months, the Assault’s With a Deadly Weapons that occurred in PSA 406 have been in the Queens Chapel area and one homicide that was just outside Manor Park in Lamond Riggs. The homicide was an anomaly, that it didn’t involve younger men that live in the area, but involved two older gentlemen that didn’t live in the area and had a work related dispute. There was an immediate arrest made in reference this homicide.

Historically, we had violent offenses in PSA 406 which covers a portion of the lower part of Manor Park between the Kennedy Street and Missouri Avenue, NW in the 100 block. Since, I instituted a crime patrol officer that gives special attention to that area we haven’t had a violent offense in over 6 months.
