* Rat Riddance in ANC 4B06!

Following February's single-member district (SMD) meeting I reached out to the Department of Health Rodent and Vector Control Division (RVCD) to obtain resources regarding rat riddance efforts and how we can reduce the number of our rat population.

In addition to the attached flyers, I am also conducting a community walkthrough with a representative from RVCD on Saturday, March 25, 2023, to discuss areas of the area where rat populations are prevalent. I will post more information as the details are finalized. In the interim, if you see a rat/rat hole please reach out to me at 4b06@anc.dc.gov or https://www.commissionerjohnson4b06.com/constituent-concerns.

* Additions to the ANC 4B06 Website

Leaf collection services have ended. Residents can dispose of remaining leaves by scheduling a yard waste collection for leaves that can be picked up in leaf brown paper bags. Residents can also bring leaves to Benning Road Transfer Station (2300 Benning Rd, NE) Wednesday-Friday 10 am-2 pm.

DPW is still collecting holiday trees and greenery curbside at the tree box or at the curb where there is no tree box from the front of only DPW-serviced households. Residents may also drop their holiday trees and/or greenery at one of two convenient locations until March 3, 2023.
