We have had two disturbing crimes within the SMD this morning:
On July 18, 2021 at approximately 1:26 am, officers were called to the 6100 block of 4th Street NW, for the report of a shooting. Once at the location officers discovered an adult female suffering from a gunshot wound. This case is being investigated by the Violent Crime Branch. On July 18, 2021 at approximately 5:20 am, the victim of the robbery was walking in the 700 block of Longfellow Street NW, when he was approached by two suspects who produced a firearm and took the victims property.
