Please join Rock Creek Conservancy, the National Park Service, and ANC 4B Commissioner Tiffani Johnson for a 2022 Earth Day CLEANUP! This event is part of the Conservancy's Extreme Cleanup, an annual effort to reduce waste and plastic pollution, improving habitats, and preventing harm to wildlife and humans.
We hope you'll join us as we go out to cleanup our beloved Rock Creek!
Activity: Volunteers will participate in a socially-distant trash cleanup.
Please register yourself and each member of your group INDIVIDUALLY.
For the health and safety of our volunteers and leaders we cannot accept walk-ups or any groups that do not have all members registered.

When: Saturday, April 23rd from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Where: Volunteers will meet at the picnic shelter at Fort Slocum Park, located near the intersection of Kansas Ave and Madison St NW.
What to Wear: Please dress appropriately for the work and weather. Wear long sleeves and sturdy boots or sneakers.
What to Bring: Water and snacks, work and weather appropriate clothing. Please bring your own gloves if you can!
Weather/Cancellation Policy: All participants will be notified via email before the event start time if an event is canceled due to inclement weather. If you do not hear from us you should assume the event will occur as scheduled.
Please do NOT attend this event if you are or have been experiencing symptoms of illness
