Metro announces bus and rail service to be suspended to the Pentagon on Inauguration Day

Metro today is advising customers that bus and rail service will be temporarily suspended to the Pentagon on Inauguration Day, Wednesday, January 20, as part of security measures by the Pentagon for the 2021 Presidential Inauguration. Blue and Yellow Line trains will continue to operate but will pass through the station without stopping. The Pentagon Transit Center, served by six Metrobus lines, will also be closed. Buses will be relocated instead to Pentagon City, on the east side of Hayes Street S. and 12th Street S. for the day.
