Writer's picture: Tiffani JohnsonTiffani Johnson

I have been advised that there is an roadway improvement project along Kansas Avenue between Longfellow and North Dakota Avenue NW beginning on or about November 15, 2021.

The work is being conducted in two phases:

Phase 1 - concrete work to take approximately two weeks, weather permitting. This will include the upgrading of wheelchair ramps, sidewalk, curb and gutter repairs.

Phase 2 - asphalt roadway paving

Curbside parking will be restricted during the construction. At least one lane of traffic will be maintained through the construction area. The contractor is allowed to work between 7am-7pm Monday-Saturday. Temporary "EMERGENCY NO PARKING" signage will be placed 72 hours before the work is scheduled to commence.
