I cannot thank those of you enough who came out in 20-degree weather to clean up Fort Slocum Park in honor of the MLK day of service. We collected so much trash (about 20 bags in addition to other dumped items, such as a bed frame, trash can and clothing). NPS has picked-up everything ahead of today's snow/ice. The clothing that could be salvaged for re-use was donated to AMVETS on Georgia Avenue.
I have always said Manor Park is an amazing community, but I will say it again. Y'all are AMAZING!!!!
Please continue to stay safe and healthy in this New Year. Keep a look out for the February 4B06 SMD meeting and another community clean-up in April in honor of Earth Day.
