Urgent Message from Pepco

Good afternoon Commissioner Johnson and ANC 4B Commissioners,

At Pepco, we are committed to providing safe, affordable, reliable, and sustainable service for our customers and communities. Part of this commitment means that we must work to maintain the system.

Part of this commitment requires Pepco to partner with city agencies when appropriate to manage the growth of vegetation throughout the District of Columbia. An outage to perform this work may be required when necessary. Pepco will be supporting the vegetation management work of the District Department of Transportation – Urban Forestry Administration in your neighborhood.

To support this work, we must temporarily suspend service on May 26, 2020 from 9a.m. to 3p.m., impacting 39 residences in your neighborhood. The temporary outage will affect the following addresses:

Longfellow Street NW

  • 233-303 (odd)

  • 228-238 (even)

3rd Street NW

  • 5517-5623 (odd)

Madison Street NW

  • 302-306

3rd Place NW

  • 5600-5601

Residents who will experience an outage have been notified. We appreciate your patience as we support this work. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
