The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Winter Storm Watch for the District of Columbia, which is in effect from 3:10 PM EST , Friday January 29th 2021 until 10 PM Sunday February 1st 2021 . What: Heavy snow possible. Potential for 5 or more inches of snow. Where: The District of Columbia, and portions of central and southern Maryland, central and northern Virginia, and the eastern panhandle of West Virginia.
