Winter Storm Watch

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Winter Storm Watch for the District of Columbia, which is in effect from 7:00 AM Saturday, February 13th, until 7:00 AM Sunday, February 14th. WHAT-Heavy icing possible. Total snow accumulations of up to one inch and ice accumulations of one quarter of an inch possible.

WHERE-The District of Columbia, portions of central and southern Maryland and northern Virginia.

WHEN-From Saturday morning through Sunday morning.

IMPACTS-power outages and tree damage are possible due to the ice. Travel could be nearly impossible. Precautionary/Preparedness Actions:Monitor the latest forecasts for updates on this situation.
