Metrobus will begin operating on a severe snow service plan beginning at noon today due to rapidly deteriorating weather conditions. Buses throughout the region are encountering hazardous conditions, including icy roads and limited visibility during heavy snowfall. It may be necessary to suspend some routes earlier, if roads become too dangerous for travel. Metrobus routes already suspended include 25B, J2, 1A, NH1, NH2, 23A, F1, W2, W3, A6, and D14.

Under a severe snow service plan, buses will operate on major roads only. Customers should expect delays and increased wait times. Metrobus will transition from a moderate snow plan, with 110 routes operating, to a severe plan with 58 routes in service. All buses in service as of 12:00 p.m. that do not operate in a severe snow plan will continue their routes until the end of the line before going out of service.
