Hi Ward 4 Commissioners and Community Leaders,
I wanted to let you know about a Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway for Ward 4 families in need that I'm co-hosting with the Lamond Riggs Citizens Association this Saturday, November 19 from 11am-1pm at Lamond Rec Center (20 Tuckerman St NE).
The event will be first come, first served while supplies last, with each family being given one turkey. Families are also asked to bring some sort of proof of Ward 4 residency (ID, utility bill, lease, mail, etc...). Residents who cannot leave their home can request a delivery of a turkey to their home by emailing teamjaneese@dccouncil.us with their name, address, and contact information.
I've attached flyers in English, Spanish, and Amharic to share with constituents.
There are also other Turkey Giveaways happening in our community, including two at Emery Heights Community Center on Saturday, November 19 from 10:30am-12:30pm (by the Friends of Emery and Vernon Davis Foundation) and one at Emery Heights Community Center on Monday, November 21 starting at 6pm.
