Fort Slocum Update

So, I was going to wait until tonight to share this news but I just cannot wait.


I have an amazing update on improvements to Fort Slocum Park!!!!!


Through tremendous advocacy by the Rock Creek Conservancy and coordination with NPS, I present the following:


-Landis Architects/Builders is volunteering to restore the picnic shelter with work expected to commence on July 13, 2020.

-A pet waste station is to be installed within the next few weeks along Kansas Avenue near the picnic shelter. The Conservancy is looking for someone from the community to keep the station stocked with bags which NPS will purchase. If interested, please contact me at 202.271.3710 or 4b06@anc.dc.gov.
